
Turkey
Garland

What
you'll need:
card
stock
twine
glue
scissors
pencil and crayons
black marker
stapler
brown paper bag
|
|
|
Trace
your child's hand at least 6 times onto a sheet of white or colored card
stock or construction paper.
|
|
|
Cut
out each hand shape, then decorate with black marker. Make feather patterns
on each finger, and place an eye on each thumb. Do this on both sides
of the cut-out hand.

|
Color
all over the turkey hand to make it look beautiful!
|
|
|
Snip small triangles
from the brown paper bag. Fold strips of brown paper and cut the triangles
along the fold. This way you'll make a two-sided beak!
Cut Larger triangles
to serve as turkey wings.

|
Glue brown paper
triangles to tip of "thumb" to make a turkey beak. Glue triangles
to base of "hand" to make turkey legs and feet.

|
Look!
Your hand has become a turkey!
|
|
|
Staple
turkeys along a length of twine, at lease one turkey-width apart.

|
|
Be
sure to trace lots of turkeys so you can make a really long garland!
