Thanksgiving Turkey Garland Craft

Turkey Garland

What you'll need:

card stock
twine
glue
scissors
pencil and crayons
black marker
stapler
brown paper bag

Trace your child's hand at least 6 times onto a sheet of white or colored card stock or construction paper.

Cut out each hand shape, then decorate with black marker. Make feather patterns on each finger, and place an eye on each thumb. Do this on both sides of the cut-out hand.
Color all over the turkey hand to make it look beautiful!

Snip small triangles from the brown paper bag. Fold strips of brown paper and cut the triangles along the fold. This way you'll make a two-sided beak!

Cut Larger triangles to serve as turkey wings.

Glue brown paper triangles to tip of "thumb" to make a turkey beak. Glue triangles to base of "hand" to make turkey legs and feet.

Look! Your hand has become a turkey!

Staple turkeys along a length of twine, at lease one turkey-width apart.

Be sure to trace lots of turkeys so you can make a really long garland!
